Worth the wait
Purchased in May during promotion offering massive savings on Bosch plus 5 year manufacturers warranty. Waited until August to receive in this colour to match my other appliances. So worth the wait! Super quiet, efficient, even our most grimiest dishes are absolutely sparkling!

Q: Is this dishwasher a good choice for large family loads?
A: Yes. Bosch SMS6HCB01A has a 15-place setting capacity, which suits bigger daily loads or a weekend catch-up wash. The adjustable racking helps with mixed dishes, but oversized platters can still reduce how much fits in one cycle.
Q: Can this Bosch dishwasher run efficiently on cold water?
A: Yes. Bosch SMS6HCB01A uses 11 litres per wash on the Eco program with a cold-water connection and has a 5.5 Star WELS rating, WELS Licence Number D02570. That figure applies to the Eco program, not every wash program.
Q: Can you change wash settings after a cycle has started?
A: Yes. Home Connect lets you adjust a wash option even after the program has started, so you are not locked in once it begins. The change available depends on the cycle and option combination already running.
Q: How flexible are the racks for deep plates and pans?
A: Bosch SMS6HCB01A uses an adjustable racking system with VarioFlex red touchpoints that show which sections can be moved or folded. That makes mixed loads easier to organise, though very tall items may still need rack repositioning.
Q: Will the third basket fit utensils and small bowls properly?
A: Yes. The Extra Space third basket is designed for oddly shaped utensils and breakfast bowls, which frees room in the lower racks for plates and cookware. It suits shallow items rather than tall glasses or large serving pieces.
Q: Does Extra Dry help with plastic containers and lids?
A: Yes. The Extra Dry option adds more drying for items that often hold water, such as plastic containers and lids. It is useful when you want cupboards-ready loads, though it can add time compared with a standard program alone.
Q: Does the black inox finish show fingerprints easily?
A: No. Bosch SMS6HCB01A has a brushed black steel anti-fingerprint finish, so everyday marks are less obvious than on a standard glossy surface. It still needs wiping to remove spills and grease, especially around touch points.
