At a glance
This 1 L multi-surface cleaning formula is made for homes with pets, helping clean sealed hard floors and suitable area rugs while reducing odours. It suits routine maintenance and works with Bissell CrossWave and SpinWave machines. Key strengths are its oxygen-based cleaning action and no-rinse use when diluted correctly. Its main limitation is that it is not suitable for unsealed wood or water-sensitive surfaces.

Things to consider
It is designed for sealed hard floors and suitable area rugs, so it is less versatile than specialist stain removers made for deep carpet treatment or unsealed timber surfaces.
Pet & child home suitability
Well suited to pet households for routine floor cleaning when used as directed; only for compatible sealed surfaces.
Stain removal effectiveness
8/10 - Strong for everyday pet messes and maintenance cleaning on compatible surfaces, but not a specialist deep carpet stain treatment.
Ease of application
9/10 - Simple to use in compatible cleaning machines, with no rinsing required after correct dilution.
Odour removal score
8/10 - Patented odour elimination technology helps reduce pet and musty smells after cleaning.
Key benefits
- Oxygen-based cleaning action: Helps lift everyday pet messes and stains from compatible sealed floors and suitable area rugs.
- Pet-focused formula: Suits households managing fur, tracked-in dirt and common pet-related cleaning jobs.
- Multi-surface use: Can be used on sealed timber, tile, laminate and vinyl floors when used as directed.
- Area rug compatibility: Adds flexibility for cleaning suitable area rugs as part of regular home maintenance.
- Odour elimination technology: Helps reduce lingering pet and musty smells after cleaning.
- No-rinse finish: Floors do not need rinsing after use when the formula is diluted correctly.
- Broad machine compatibility: Works with Bissell CrossWave cleaners, SpinWave machines and other leading hard surface cleaners when used as directed.
- 1 L bottle size: Provides a practical amount for routine cleaning rather than a single spot-treatment job.
Q: Is this formula for heavy carpet stains or routine pet messes?
A: Bissell CrossWave Pet Pro OXY Multi-Surface Formula is aimed at routine pet messes and everyday floor cleaning, not specialist heavy carpet stain treatment. It suits ongoing maintenance better than deep spot removal on carpeted areas.
Q: Can it clean full carpet or only sealed floors and area rugs?
A: It is designed for sealed hard floors and suitable area rugs, not full carpet cleaning across broadloom carpets. If most of the job is carpet stain removal, a dedicated carpet formula will usually be the better fit.
Q: Will it work in CrossWave and SpinWave cleaning machines?
A: Yes. This formula is made for Bissell CrossWave cleaners and SpinWave machines, and it can also be used in other leading hard surface cleaners when used as directed. That does not make it a universal fit for every carpet washer.
Q: Is it safe on unsealed timber or water-sensitive floor types?
A: No. This formula is not intended for unsealed wood or other water-sensitive surfaces. It is suitable for sealed timber, tile, laminate and vinyl floors, so the sealed finish matters more than the floor material alone.
Q: Do floors need rinsing after using this Bissell formula?
A: No. Bissell CrossWave Pet Pro OXY Multi-Surface Formula is a no-rinse solution when it is diluted correctly in a compatible machine. If it is overused or mixed too strongly, that no-rinse result may not apply in the same way.
