Simple to use & effective
This is easy to use and makes cleaning up spills quick & easy. IIt is great on hard floors, ok on carpet but I don't think it is great if you needed a deep clean on carpet.

An awesome way to clean my floors that saves time and my back!!
I love my Bissell Cross Wave Edge - it is simple to use and easy to clean the pieces after use. I have a LOT of textured vinyl floorboards and used to have to wash on my hands and knees to remove and then mop. The Bissell Cross Wave Edge, does it in one pass and the dirty water is satisfyingly dirty! My only quibble would be that it would be great if the dirty water reservoir was the same capacity as the clean water reservoir. All in all a really great product as a great price - I should have bought one earlier!

The Real Deal Floor Cleaner
We tried another brand but found it wasn’t producing a good result and after now trying the Bissell, there is no comparison, it really does a great job and is super user friendly to clean and maintain. Highly recommend this product.

Really fantastic floor cleaner
I was skeptical at first but it really is a fantastic machine. It cleans really well and leaves your hard surfaces free from dirt after one or two passes.

Awesome all round
The features I love are that it goes right up to the edges and it tells you to use hot water. Also love that it helps clean all the cat fur up

At a glance
The Bissell CrossWave Edge Cordless is a cordless hard floor cleaner that vacuums and washes sealed floors and area rugs in one pass. It suits busy households wanting quicker everyday cleaning, especially around edges and along skirting boards. Separate water tanks help keep cleaning fresher, and the brush roll is designed to manage hair. Its main limitation is that it is better suited to routine messes than heavy-duty deep cleaning.

- Pet hair and crumbs
Where it works best

Things to consider
This model is best for routine floor maintenance and everyday messes rather than the heavier-duty scrubbing or larger-capacity cleaning some premium specialist machines can handle.
Pet hair performance score
8/10 - ZeroGap Multi-Surface Brush Roll and Tangle-Free Technology make it a strong option for routine pet hair pickup on hard floors and area rugs.
Allergy suitability
Suitable for everyday dust and debris removal on sealed hard floors, but not positioned as a specialist allergy-focused cleaner with advanced air filtration claims.
Ease of use rating
9/10 - Cordless operation, single-pass cleaning and separate tanks make everyday use simple and convenient.
Noise level vs category
Typical for a cordless hard floor cleaner
Floor type compatibility
Sealed hard floors and area rugs
Key benefits
- Vacuum and Wash in One Pass: Cleans sealed hard floors and area rugs in a single step to reduce time spent on everyday floor care.
- Cordless Design: Moves easily between rooms without needing to manage a power cord.
- Edge-Focused Brush Roll: Reaches closer to skirting boards and corners to help pick up dust along wall edges.
- Separate Water Tanks: Uses a 750 mL clean water tank and 580 mL dirty water tank to help keep fresh solution separate from collected dirty water.
- ZeroGap Multi-Surface Brush Roll: Collects crumbs, dust and pet hair from hard floors and area rugs during routine cleaning.
- Tangle-Free Technology: Helps manage hair on the brush roll, making it more practical for homes with pets or long hair.
- Lithium-Ion Battery: Provides cordless power suited to regular whole-home touch-up cleaning.
- Included Starter Accessories: Comes with a washable filter, installed brush roll, charging dock and 236 mL Hard Floor Sanitise Formula sample so you can get started sooner.
Q: Can it replace a carpet washer for full-room deep cleaning?
A: No. Bissell CrossWave Edge Cordless is designed for sealed hard floors and area rugs, not full-room carpet deep cleaning. It suits everyday spills and routine refreshes, rather than heavy carpet washing or larger restorative cleans.
Q: Will it suit unsealed timber or other water-sensitive floors?
A: No. This model is intended for sealed hard floors and area rugs, so unsealed timber and other water-sensitive surfaces are not the right match. Its wash function uses cleaning solution, which is better suited to sealed finishes.
Q: Why is the dirty water tank smaller than the clean tank?
A: The clean tank holds 750 mL, while the dirty tank holds 580 mL, so the waste tank can fill first during heavier cleans. In practical use, that means larger areas or messier floors may need an emptying stop before the clean tank is finished.
Q: Which Bissell formulas work with this CrossWave Edge model?
A: This model is compatible with Bissell Multi-Surface Pet Formula and Hard Floor Sanitise Formula. A 236 mL Hard Floor Sanitise Formula sample is included, and ongoing solution is sold separately for regular use.
Q: How well does it handle pet hair on hard floors?
A: Bissell CrossWave Edge Cordless uses a ZeroGap Multi-Surface Brush Roll to lift crumbs, dust and pet hair from sealed floors and area rugs. Tangle-Free Technology helps manage hair on the brush roll, but it does not mean zero maintenance.
Q: Does the edge brush clean fully into corners and wall lines?
A: It cleans closer to skirting boards and along wall edges than a standard central brush path, which helps reduce leftover dust lines. Very tight corners can still need a quick follow-up, because the brush roll is not a pointed corner tool.
