At a glance
The Audio Technica LP60XBT is an easy-to-use Bluetooth turntable built for casual vinyl listening in smaller homes, apartments or simple hi-fi setups. It suits beginners who want automatic playback, wireless speaker or headphone pairing, and flexible wired connection options. Its key strengths are convenience, compact size and low-fuss operation. The main limitation is that it is less adjustable and upgrade-focused than premium audiophile decks.

Beginner vs audiophile fit
Beginner-focused
Home audio integration score
9/10 - Bluetooth, a built-in switchable phono preamp and automatic operation make it easy to fit into simple wired or wireless home systems.
Portability rating
7/10 - compact dimensions suit smaller rooms and shelf setups, though it is still intended as a home turntable rather than a travel model.
Vinyl preservation suitability
8/10 - automatic operation and improved tracking support user-friendly record handling, though it is not as adjustable as higher-end specialist decks.
Key benefits
- Fully Automatic Operation: Button-controlled start and stop make vinyl playback simple for new users and everyday listening.
- Bluetooth Connectivity: Pairs wirelessly with compatible speakers or headphones for cleaner setup in smaller spaces.
- Dual-Speed Playback: Supports 33 1/3 and 45 RPM records for compatibility with common vinyl formats.
- Built-In Switchable Phono Preamp: Connects easily to a wider range of audio systems without needing a separate external preamp.
- Anti-Resonance Die-Cast Aluminium Platter: Helps reduce unwanted vibration for cleaner, more stable playback.
- Redesigned Tonearm Base and Headshell: Improves tracking and helps reduce resonance during record playback.
- aptX Bluetooth Support: Improves wireless audio quality with compatible devices compared with standard Bluetooth codecs.
- Signal-to-Noise Ratio Above 50 dB: Helps maintain cleaner sound with less background noise during listening.
Q: Do I need a separate phono pre-amp for this turntable?
A: No. The AT-LP60XBT has a built-in switchable phono pre-amp, so it can suit systems that expect either phono or line-level input. That gives more flexibility for wired setups and avoids adding a separate phono stage in many homes.
Q: Can it connect to wired speakers as well as Bluetooth audio?
A: Yes. The AT-LP60XBT supports Bluetooth for compatible speakers or headphones, and it also has wired connectivity through its switchable phono pre-amp. Passive speakers still need a separate amplifier or receiver to work in a wired setup.
Q: Is this a good choice for small rooms or apartments?
A: Yes. The compact design and Bluetooth support make the AT-LP60XBT easier to place on shelves or in tighter living spaces with less cable clutter. It is better suited to a stable home position than being moved around regularly.
Q: Does this turntable play both LPs and 45 rpm singles?
A: Yes. The AT-LP60XBT plays records at 33 1/3 and 45 RPM, so it covers standard LPs and many singles. It is aimed at common vinyl formats rather than buyers wanting extra speed options or broader manual format support.
Q: How automatic is the Audio Technica LP60XBT in daily use?
A: The AT-LP60XBT is fully automatic, with button-controlled platter and tonearm operation for starting and stopping playback. That makes day-to-day use simpler for beginners, but it offers fewer manual tuning options than enthusiast-focused decks.
Q: Is Bluetooth audio quality on this model better than standard wireless?
A: Audio Technica AT-LP60XBT supports the aptX codec, which can improve Bluetooth sound quality with compatible speakers or headphones. On gear without aptX, it still works over standard Bluetooth, but the wireless quality then depends on the receiving device.
