At a glance
The Acer 27 inch Nitro FHD Gaming Monitor is a value-focused display for casual gamers, students and home office users who want a larger screen with smooth motion. Its 100Hz refresh rate, 1ms response time and AMD FreeSync support help gameplay feel cleaner and more responsive. Wide viewing angles also suit shared viewing. The main limitation is that its Full HD resolution is less sharp than higher-end 1440p or 4K alternatives at this size.

Things to consider
The 27 inch screen size is generous, but Full HD resolution is not as crisp as 1440p or 4K monitors, especially for users who sit close or want finer detail for creative work.
Gaming suitability score
8/10 - Strong for casual to mid-paced gaming thanks to 100Hz, 1ms response time and FreeSync support, but below premium high-refresh options.
Home office fit
Good fit for home office use where a larger screen helps with documents, web work and multitasking, provided Full HD sharpness is acceptable at 27 inches.
Colour accuracy rating
6/10 - Suitable for everyday viewing and general content, but not positioned as a specialist colour-accurate monitor for professional creative work.
Multi-monitor setup compatibility
Good - slim enough for typical desk-based multi-screen setups, includes common video connections and supports VESA 100 x 100 mm mounting.
Eye comfort score
7/10 - Wide viewing angles and moderate brightness support comfortable general use, though no dedicated eye-care features are specified.
Key benefits
- 27 inch screen: Gives you a larger viewing area for more immersive gaming and easier side-by-side multitasking.
- 100Hz refresh rate: Delivers smoother motion than standard 60Hz displays for gaming, scrolling and everyday use.
- 1ms response time: Helps fast-moving scenes look cleaner with less noticeable blur during action gameplay.
- AMD FreeSync compatibility: Reduces screen tearing for a more consistent gaming experience with supported systems.
- 178 degree viewing angles: Keeps the picture more comfortable to view from the side or when sharing the screen.
- HDMI 1.4 and DisplayPort 1.2 connectivity: Makes it easy to connect common gaming PCs and other modern display sources.
- VESA 100 x 100 mm mount support: Lets you mount the monitor on a wall or monitor arm for a cleaner desk setup.
- 3 year manufacturer's warranty: Adds longer-term peace of mind for everyday work and gaming use.
Q: Does this Acer Nitro monitor have height adjustment on the stand?
A: No. This Acer Nitro monitor uses a fixed stand, so the screen height does not adjust on the desk. If you want more flexibility for screen position, it also supports a 100 x 100 VESA mount for use with a wall mount or monitor arm.
Q: Is 27 inch Full HD sharp enough for work and gaming?
A: Yes, for general work, study and mainstream gaming. Acer's 27 inch Full HD panel gives you more screen area, but text and fine detail will look less sharp than a higher-resolution monitor, which matters more for design work and dense spreadsheets.
Q: Can I wall mount this monitor or use a monitor arm?
A: Yes. This model supports a 100 x 100 VESA mount, so it can be used with compatible wall mounts and monitor arms. That is useful if you want more placement flexibility than the included fixed stand gives you on a desk.
Q: Will this monitor work well with a PlayStation or Xbox?
A: Yes. This monitor connects by HDMI 1.4, so it suits Full HD console gaming on compatible PlayStation and Xbox systems. Acer UM.HV0SA.E01 tops out at 100Hz, so it will not display refresh rates above that even if the console supports more.
Q: What cables come in the box with the Acer Nitro monitor?
A: The box includes the monitor, 1 HDMI cable and 1 power cord. That means you can connect straight away over HDMI, but a DisplayPort cable is not included, so you would need to supply one if that is the connection you plan to use.
