Breville Oracle® Coffee Machine FAQs
Follow these steps daily, weekly or monthly steps to clean your Breville Oracle® Coffee Machine (and keep it in great condition!):
Daily
Purge steam wand and wipe with a damp cloth.
Rinse portafilter and empty the drip tray.
Wipe down the machine exterior.
Weekly
Clean group head with a brush.
Backflush using the cleaning disc and water (no tablet).
Monthly
Backflush with cleaning tablet via Menu > Cleaning Cycle.
Clean grinder: remove hopper and brush out grounds.
Descale if prompted or every 2–3 months using a descaling solution.
Extras
Change the water filter every 2–3 months.
Use filtered water to reduce scale.
To descale your Breville Oracle®, empty the water tank and fill it with a descaling solution mixed per the product instructions. Go to Menu > Descale and follow the on-screen prompts. The machine will run the solution through the system, including the steam wand and hot water outlet. Once done, rinse the tank, fill it with fresh water, and run the rinse cycle to flush out any residue. Descale every 2–3 months or when prompted, and use filtered water to minimize scale buildup.
To use the Breville Oracle®, start by filling the water tank, adding beans to the hopper, and turning the machine on. Insert the portafilter under the grinder to automatically grind, dose, and tamp. Lock the portafilter into the group head, then press 1 CUP or 2 CUP to extract your espresso. For milk drinks, place the steam wand in a jug of milk and use the auto or manual steam function to froth. You can also use the hot water spout for americanos. After use, clean the portafilter, drip tray, and steam wand, and backflush weekly. Descale every few months or when prompted.
