Compact and practical
We chose this grinder because it is relatively compact. Although the bean hopper is 130mm wide, it is only is115mm wide at the base The top of the bean hopper is 350mm high. The base is 235mm high (ie excluding the hopper) It's not very loud - definitely much quieter than the 20 year old flat grinder it replaced It comes with a "dosing cup" to catch the grinds . The dosing cup is the same diameter as the portafilter (58mm) and makes transferring the grinds a simple no-mess process Adjusting the grind is a matter of rotating the hopper. Once we found the right grind, we never changed it I like it most because bench space is limited, and it looks neat and simple next to the coffee machine It's quiet (for a grinder), gives consistent results, and the dosing cup makes less mess than grinding straight into the portafilter

Love it!
Great grinder so far, no problems. I grind for Moka, Aeropress and French Press and this works well. The small cup can hold just over 30g of ground coffee, the large bucket holds much more. Wish Goodguys would stock the white machine also.

An Upgrade!
I replaced my Sunbeam cafe series grinder and looked around for a replacement. If I had of replaced it with the same machine I would have been sorely disappointed. I wish I came across Baratza years ago. Works well and now I don’t need ear muffs!

Simply a good grinder
Easy to use and change settings for different coffee preparation methods. Used mainly for espresso, grinding one cup at a time and occasional pour over.Hopper is a little large for this style of use, but the grinder works very well. Changing grind settings is very straightforward and reproducible.

Good little grinder!
Bought this to replace a Breville Smart Grinder that stopped working after several years. I'd say the Baratza is probably a little better than the Breville in terms of grind quality. Pro's: * Good grind quality * Small footprint * Cheaper than the breville (and overall, very reasonably priced) Con's: * No timer for dosing * No holder to grind straight into portafilter; minor adjustment grinding into container first.
