Gets hot in your hand almost immediately. Awkward to hold and seemingly under powered compared to my ancient Breville that finally wore out with exposed wiring. I don't recommend this Sunbeam.

We purchased this new Sunbeam electric knife after out previous 30 year old Sunbeam electric knife “died”. We were very happy with our original knife and the new one is just as good plus it came with a bonus of an extra set of blades.

Not that powerful. When carving a rolled leg of lamb (tender) knife struggled to cut through & tore meat instead of carving. It is neccessary to squeeze the button underneath the knife completely into the underside of knife to make knife work. ? design fault or build fault.

A great electric knife!
It's been many years since I've used an electric knife with an regularity and I couldn't be happier with this one. I needed it predominately to slice my homemade bread and it does a great job without squashing or tearing it. Although it comes with two sets of blades marked MEAT and BREAD, the meat blades do the best job with my bread. It is super light, and the trigger is easily squeezed even if you are dealing with painful hands.
