  Perfect addition to the Sonos family

  This is perfect for extending your music through the home to anywhere you need it. I find it really good for the pool area, having an era 100 playing in the patio and the roam 2 in the pool area is a great combination and you never miss out on sound. The battery is good as well.

  Good sound, crap app.

  Sound quality is really good- surprising amount of bass for such a small thing. Even double bass sounds quite good through this Connects easily to my phone for playing Spotify. The only problem i have is that the Sonos app that is supposed to work with it does not work, and you need it to use some of its features. The was upgraded last year, and the new version is quite broken- it does not connect to the speaker, and it requires that i register, but their system won't let me register. Apparently the app has been broken for a year now and they can't fix it. This doesn't make much difference to me- i can still use it the way i want to, and as i said, it sounds great. It's just a bit annoying.

  Saved By WiFi Feature.

  If it wasn't for the wifi feature this product would not have been on my purchase list. Being able to stream directly from Spotify, Amazon Music etc does not impact your phone or tablet battery. The unit's compact size and rechargeable battery makes it suitable for personal use at home or when travelling. It appears to be well built, is visually attractive and has decent sound and volume. The claimed 10 hour battery life seems a bit of a stretch...perhaps if volume was that low you would need to hold up to your ear. The worst aspect of this unit is the glitchy Sonos App. Google voice assistant is no longer available and you are left with Alexa and Sonos voice assistant. Alexa is pretty decent, Sonos next to useless. The ability to import playlists from Streaming Services into the Sonos App is appealing...in reality it is somewhat of a nightmare and currently not working. I have for the time being given up after multiple attempts at fixing (numerous YouTube & Google searches). Unless you want WiFi, I would not recommend this speaker. Numerous Bluetooth speakers sound significantly better and considerably less expensive.
