  ealy days but looks, sounds and performs like it should

  The Good Guys always have the best price and service, so when our ten-year-old dishwasher failed a couple of days before Christmas, we didn't hesitate to see how they could help us out. We didn't want to spend a lot hard earned but we did want a stainless steel unit to complement the rest of our appliances. This model is the most affordable 60 cm unit on the market. I ordered and paid for it online and soon received an alert that my new dishwasher was ready for collection. I took the old girl (dishwasher) with me as they recycle them and hopefully receive a few dollars along the way. Got the new beast home. Installed it and stood around admiring it for a while. I couldn't help thinking that this didn't even break the $400 milestone. Fast forward. We've been running it nightly for nearly a month. Tried a few of the different settings. It cleans the dishes as it should, is no noisier than any of the other models we have had, it doesn't dry as well as the old dishwasher but as I unpack the clean dishes, I tend to give them a wipe anyway. A touch of OCD perhaps? So let’s sum up. It's a good-looking unit that does the job. Was easy to install as all the fittings and access was already present. Sure, it doesn't have the big brand name or associated price tag but unless you’re a snob, who cares and, in any case, it comes with a warranty. I would have liked to give it an extra half star and have only marked it down due to some of the dishes coming out a little damp and that's despite selecting the extra dry function. I do not regret buying a Solt and would do so again. Back to the Good Guys. They loaned me a trolley so I could wheel the expired unit down to the recycle area and then wheeled the new boxed item up to my car. I reckon I could have stretched the friendship and asked them to slip it into the back of the car but, that’s not their job and my arms aren’t painted on. The wife and I managed quite nicely. I popped my wheelchair on top and we were away. Kidding about the wheelchair and not making fun of people who happen to use them. Settle down baby raindeer.
