The unit has excellent suction that automatically varies according to the amount of material it detects and the type of floor it is working on. The self emptying feature is a big winner, with the bin into which the material is transferred when you park the vacuum only needing emptying every few weeks depending on frequency of use. I would rank this model superior to most cordless competitors that cost a lot more. The Good Guys pricing is always competitive so a good deal is highly likely.
