Extended warranty is essential
Purchased a second one when the first stopped working at 16 months after heating food unevenly. Only purchased again with an extended warranty as it fits perfectly into the recess in the kitchen! Hopefully this one lasts longer! Flatbed is a good feature.

Panasonic microwave
This item was purchased to replace a sharp microwave we had been using for about 20years. The first difference is we purchased a flatbed model this time. After having used the flatbed design for the past month I must say it has been reheating our meals perfectly. This new microwave has come with a lot more features which we are learning how to use. We are not using the microwave to cook but for melting, popping, reheating and steaming it has worked perfectly.
