Automatic Coffee Machines take the hassle out of preparing café quality coffees and beverages. For a typical Manual Coffee Machine the beans have to be ground (if you want them fresh) to the right size and consistency for the brewing method, then measured and packed into the portafilter and finally locked in to the group head. Once the water reaches the right temperature, begin pouring the shot. If preparing a latte or cappuccino, the milk needs to be frothed. Once done, clean out the grounds from the head then wipe down and purge the steaming arm before making the next cup.
Preparing coffee in this way takes some getting used to. Not only is it time consuming especially for multiple cups, but it also requires some trial and error to learn all the skills to make coffee just right.
For Automatic Machines, simply stock the machine with beans and milk, then select the beverage you want and the machine takes care of the rest. Many models such as DeLonghi's use the exact amount of beans required then using up all the coffee with no spare grounds remaining to avoid more cleaning. Most Automatic Coffee Machines come with a Coffee Grinder but this isn't always the case for Manual Machines.
