Can't do the basics
I mainly wanted this product to scan newspapers (why I need A3) and it scans fine but once scanned I can't crop before saving as a pdf. It prints fine. I often don't need the whole page saved, maybe just a couple of death notices (for my genealogy hobby) and so cropping to me is a basic function that I assumed all units would have. It is a lot heaver than my previous Brother A3 scanner/printer, even the lid is heavier. The Brother customer service is fantastic as they really tried to find a solution but after many emails back and forth, it still doesn't crop. Another thing, my old Brother unit had a cord built in that I then plugged into my computer tower but this new unit, doesn't have this, you have to buy one separate and find the outlet way under the lid etc in the depths of the unit. Perhaps Good Guys could remember to tell prospective older buyer that as we don't all want to be bothered with wi-fi or mobile phone connections. They could then sell them the cord at the time of purchase of the unit.
