Easy recipes for classic non-alcoholic cocktails
January 21, 2025-3 min read
There’s a trend sweeping bars and barbies nationwide, with many Aussies saying a hard no to the hard stuff. It seems more people than ever are cutting down on alcohol and choosing non-alcoholic bevvies instead. Keen to jump on the bandwagon? There’s a wide range of small kitchen appliances that make creating these beverages super easy. Between supersized blenders for whizzing mocktails for a crowd and next-gen fridge-freezers that deliver an avalanche of ice on cue, it’s never been easier to whip up virgin versions of the classics. Here’s how!
Why A Supersized Blender Is Your New Bestie
Party at your place? Big-jug blenders are designed to whizz up many mocktails at once. “If you have a large household or love to entertain, look for a blender with a family-sized jug and the power to crush large volumes of ice – blenders in the 1200W to 1500W range will do nicely, and you’ll be whipping up frozen margaritas in no time,” says Tracey Ellis, The Good Guys Buyer – Portable Appliances.

Why A Fridge With An Ice Maker Is A Must-Have
To serve mocktails on the rocks, you’ll need instant ice – and a host of fabulous fridges offer just that. With many models available that don’t need plumbing to deliver the goods, you also get the benefit of cold water on tap. Some appliances have dedicated ice drawers that can be freed up as extra storage when required – ideal for flexible entertaining! Alternatively, a compact benchtop ice maker can dish out up to 10kg of ice every 24 hours. A marathon mocktail session!
