  I like how the display shows a picture of the area you need to go down to the side of the actual map i.e when coming to an exit on a freeway it shows you a picture of that turn.

  We have used navman in the passed. So we are both getting to know how to use the Garmin. So far it seems easy to use. As an older couple who are somewhat technology challenged we won't use some of the features ie: Bluetooth and hands free.j

  OK features

  Unlike many who have stopped using dedicated GPS units in favour of smart phones, I particularly wanted to have separate units as the GPS has better features. Overall impression of the Garmin unit is favourable but disappointed it cannot give average speed estimates when travelling between average speed cameras (unlike my previous Tom Tom unit). It is also a bit lacking in speed limit data in areas where the Tom Tom was able to keep up (even if a bit out of date in some areas) and has more difficulty in connecting to satellites. But still, happy with purchase.
