Exchange your registered mobile phone in any condition, for a new phone
replacement (same or similar model) subject to payment of a service fee. Some
plans have the option of a refurbished phone replacement, which is available at
a lower Service Fee. In all cases, you will be required to send your old phone
to SquareTrade, to complete the phone swap.
When you’re ready to upgrade your phone to a new make or model, contact
SquareTrade who will provide you with a trade-in value for your registered
mobile phone. If you accept the offer and complete transfer requirements,
SquareTrade will organise a The Good Guys store credit equal to the value of the
trade-in value, which you can put towards the purchase of your new mobile phone.
Fixed price screen replacement for $45 is available on Monthly Superscriptions
and $99 Upfront Plans. Sometimes a screen replacement may not be possible, we’ll
let you know, and you can consider a phone swap at the applicable service fee.
iPhone customers on Monthly Subscription plans only, can contact Apple or an
Apple Authorised Service Provider for a screen replacement.

The process for buying Mobile Extras varies by plan type.
1-Year Upfront Plans
You can add Mobile Extras to any mobile phone of your choice, although some plan
types are limited to the purchase price of the phone. For example, the $49
12-Month Upfront plan can only be attached to phones with a purchase price of
$500 or less.
Once you plan is set-up, you will receive an email or SMS with a link to a
digital download and redemption code. Follow the steps on screen and accept the
terms and conditions.
You will receive an email from The Good Guys to download and install the
SquareTrade Cloud app. Follow the instructions, accept the terms and conditions
to set up your account.
Your 256GB of SquareTrade cloud storage is linked to your mobile number and you
can only have one SquareTrade cloud storage account, assigned to one mobile
It is important to provide your correct mobile number and email address. If you
don’t receive your SMS with a payment link, which is only valid for 24 hours,
you’ll need to contact the store.

If you have an Apple mobile phone and you have a Monthly Subscription Plan, you
can contact Apple or an Apple Authorised Service Provider for a refurbished
phone swap and screen replacement.
You can upgrade your current phone to a different model by calling SquareTrade
on 1800 430 832. We’re open from 9:00am to 5:30pm, Monday to Saturday AET.
You’ll need valid photo ID such as a driver’s licence or passport to proceed
with a trade-in service request. If you are under 18 years of age and the
registered owner of the device, you may not be able to proceed with an Upgrade
Anytime service request.
If your phone is an Apple mobile phone and you have a Monthly Subscription Plan,
you can contact Apple for a Screen Replacement and a Swap Anytime service
request and swap for a certified refurbished iPhone.
You can visit a Genius Bar at an Apple store or an Apple Authorised Service
Provider and pay any applicable service request fee to Apple. You don’t need to
raise a service request with SquareTrade.
Swap (your phone) Anytime
When you choose to swap your phone, we will arrange to swap your current phone
for the same make and model or a similar model, if your current model is not
available. The phone you choose to swap for can be a certified refurbished phone
or a new phone.
Upgrade (your phone) Anytime
When you choose an upgrade, your current phone will be assessed for its Trade-In
value. Your phone’s preliminary trade-in value will be given to you as a store
credit, which you can use towards the purchase of any new phone.

You will receive tech support and advice for technical problems related to your
mobile phone itself and any software it was supplied with when you purchased
your phone. This includes tech support for SquareTrade cloud storage and mobile
If you have a Monthly Subscription Plan and your phone is an Apple mobile phone,
you’ll get priority access to Apple experts through getsupport.apple.com for questions about your phone.
If your phone is lost or stolen, you will not be able to make an Upgrade Anytime
or Swap Anytime service request, or a Screen Replacement (Monthly Subscription
only). Additionally, you will not be able to utilise the Technical Support and
the Mobile Security features of you plan.
You should contact SquareTrade to cancel your Monthly Subscription, as Mobile
Extras cannot be transferred to another mobile phone.
The easiest way to manage your account is to go online squaretrade.com.au and
select Manage My Plans. If you choose to cancel your Mobile Extras plan after
the cooling off period, you will not receive a refund for subscription fees

replacement under warranty. You can find out more by visiting or calling your
