Does its job well. I put it on for several hours a day and it fills up every secound day which is quite impressive. We have problems with humidity in our old home, especially in one room where there was mould under the floor. Although we had it fumigated (which helped) it still smells musty sometimes, which is especially annoying because it happens to be the room where our clothes are since there's no other choice. We have a hygrometer which usually reads around 65%. I put this on and after a while it's down to around 50%. It does climb quickly after turning it off unfortunately but it's a cold Winter. I tried moving the hygrometer around the room, including the top shelf of the built in robe with high ceilings and it read the same as the display on the dehumidifier which tells me it's capable of doing an entire small-medium room. The timer is handy. Noise level is medium, not as bad as I thought it would be. There's a noticeable difference in the quality and smell of the air when it's on. Wish I could leave it on 24/7.
When turned off the humidity display is inaccurate. It was reading 67% but a few minutes after turning it on it read 57%, which was the same as my other hygrometer. Tested this a few times so I don't trust the reading when it's off, only when on. Also, the water tray is a bit of nuisance to remove and slide back in. It also gets very full so it's easy to spill a few drops.
